With Makro-Grip Ultra, Lang Technik GmbH is expanding its portfolio with a completely new workholding for large components up to a clamping range of 810 mm. The modular system can be individually expanded and is suitable for almost any clamping situation. “Fertigung”-Editor Jürgen Gutmayr has examined the workholding system at the manufacturer's premises in Holzmaden and summarised the key facts.

The completely new product group Makro-Grip Ultra from Lang Technik offers the user countless possibilities for clamping his components and is at the same time easy and quick to change. As can be easily seen from the name, the new clamping system is based on the proven Makro-Grip series, which has been the industry benchmark in 5-axis machining for many years. Features such as the form-fit clamping principle were adopted and combined with the advantages of the company's own zero-point system. The result is a clamping system that is even larger, more flexible and even more modular than Lang's previous solutions.
